Hello! It’s time for new new Stay Crafty Challenge and this months theme is Shake It Up. Make a project with a shaker of some kind. Enter your project on the challenge post on the Hero Arts blog before January 1st.

1. Die cut the tree from the Tree and Stocking Fancy Die set from a 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” piece of white cardstock.

2. Emboss the die cut panel with the Ornaments Grid Stencil.

3. Adhere a piece of acetate behind the die cut opening with adhesive tape.

4. Cut a piece of Shamrock cardstock large enough to cover the tree window.

5. Add foam tape around the back of the tree window. Make sure the foam edges are as close as possible. We are using fine glitter and you don’t want that to escape.

6. Add large and small green glitter to the shaker well.

7. Place Shamrock cardstock over shaker. I like to add a bit of liquid glue on the foam tape to make the shaker extra secure. place something heavy on shaker while it dries.

8. Die cut the string of lights three times from Silver glitter paper. Tuck the strings under at each side of shaker and adhere with liquid glue. Add Red Garnet Jewels along each string.

9. Die cut the star from the Star Wreath die set out of gold glitter cardstock and white cardstock. Adhere together then to top of the tree with liquid glue for outer star and double layer of foam tape for inner star. You’ll have to trim the large star out of the die cut but the small star is already cut.

10. Add shaker to an A2 card base.

11. Stamp sentiment from Sentiment Strips stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink on Cranberry Cardstock. Add White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. Die cut with the Sentiment Strips Fancy Die, trim ends and adhere to card.

Normally, I don’t like it when the glitter sticks to the acetate but I love the effect on this card! Enter your own shaker project on the challenge post on the Hero Arts blog. I can’t wait to see what you create!
