Hello! The new Stay Crafty challenge started last Friday with lots of inspiration from the design team. Here’s another shaker idea from me using the December release products. I had a lot of fun with this one!
1. Cut a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of white cardstock. Cut a piece of double sided adhesive foam sheets to 3 3/4” x 5”. Line this up behind the white panel but do not adhere. Hold together with low tack tape. Die cut the three flower dies from Color Layering Stellar Flowers Bundle. You may need a shim. You could use regular foam tape if you don’t have adhesive craft foam.
2. Blend ink through the Star Cluster stencil using Paradise, Passion Flower and Azalea Core Inks. Add a little more ink over the stenciled area to soften the look.
3. Stamp the sentiment with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.
4. Adhere acetate behind white panel then adhere craft foam behind acetate, making sure the die cut openings line up.
5. With the front face down add tiny sequins to the die cut openings in light teal, purple and dark pink. Remove backing from foam sheet and add a piece of cardstock behind die cut areas then add to an A2 card base.
6. Die cut the stem from Shamrock cardstock and adhere under flowers.
I’m so pleased with how this card came out! I love shaker cards but I’d never made any quite like this before. Remember to add your shaker project to the challenge post of the Hero Arts blog by January 1st for a chance to win a $50 Hero Arts gift card.
