Hello! Have you checked out the new Anemone Blooms Collection from Spellbinders and Yana Smakula? Stamp gorgeous as we all expect! You can find two cards I created using the Glimmer Plates here but today I’m using the beautiful die cut anemone.
1. Using a top fold A2 card base, place the shadow die from Anemones Etched Dies near the bottom of the front flap. Position the cutting plate to cover the bottom section at an angle and run through machine.
Remember to open the card so you don’t cut the back as well! If you do, like I’m ashamed to admit I did, read on to see how I salvaged my card.
2. Die cut the Anemones Etched Dies from Alabaster cardstock, keeping all the pieces and gold cardstock, only keeping the frame. You may want to place low tack tape or Press and Seal to back of Alabaster one to keep everything together.
3. Add Pink Grapefruit Core Ink to the flowers, concentrating toward the center. Remove the center die cut and heavily add Plum Core Ink.
4. Place the gold frame over the Alabaster die cut with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
5. Adhere the entire piece to the shadow cut into the card base.
6. Hot foil the sentiment from Hello, Friend Sentiments on Alabaster cardstock with Matte Gold Hot Foil Roll. Cut to size.
7. Die cut the word from Wonderful Script Sentiments three times from Alabaster cardstock and once from Gold Mirror Cardstock. Cut the shadow from Alabaster. Adhere all pieces together.
8. Adhere die cut word to card base then add hot foiled sentiment with foam strips and liquid glue where strip overlaps die cuts.
9. Add Fashion Blush Color Essentials Pearl Dots throughout card.
10. To hide that I die cut the shadow with the card folded, I added a piece of 4” x 5 1/4” Alabaster cardstock to inner section. My card base is very thick and it didn’t cut all the way through so this worked well! It would be the perfect time to add an inside greeting as well.
Don’t forget to check out the Anemone Blooms collection as well as the entire January release from Spellbinders.
