Spellbinders has a fabulous new collection called Layered Stencils. There are four word layering stencil packs with coordinating dies. I’m sharing two of those with you today. I found it easier to start with a larger than necessary piece of cardstock. I used half a piece of Neenah Solar White for each card.
Cover the word opening in the Floral Hello Stencil with the mask included. I added a bit of repositionable adhesive.
The stencils are numbered in the bottom left corner. I found adding a bit of ink to the corner marks helped me to line up each subsequent stencil.
Stencil the background flowers on the white cardstock using small blending brushes. I used Waffle Flower Brush 0.
Stencil the word separately on white cardstock and die cut with coordinating die. The inks I used are all listed and linked below.
Cut the stenciled panel to 3 3/4 x 5” and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape. Add the sentiment with thin foam squares and finish the card with Fashion Color Essentials Pearl Dots in coordinating colors.
The steps for this next card using the Floral Thank You Stencil set are basically the same as the first except that in addition to stenciling and die cutting the word separately, I did the same for the flowers that have coordinating dies.
In addition, after cutting the word out, I lined it up with the third stencil and added Hero Glitter Paste and set it aside to dry.
I next stenciled the flowers using the same blending brushes. All the inks used for these cards are listed and linked below.
I completed the card the same as the first.
I love what the glitter added to the stenciled word. You could also do the same for the flowers.
I have several more ideas to share using the new Layered Stencil Collection. Thanks for visiting!
These are gorgeous! Thanks for alerting me to this new club from SB.
