Hello! It’s my birthday and Simon Says Stamp released a new collection called Dear Friend. Today, I used two fabulous stamp sets, Extra Proud and Supercalifragilistic. The sentiments in both are beyond perfect!
1. Place white cardstock in Misti then position stamp. I used images from Extra Proud and Supercalifragilistic. I like to have an image near the top center of the card but that’s not necessary. Stamp image with Intens-ified Black Ink.
2. Clean the stamp with Stamp Cleaner and a Scrubber Block. Dry with a microfiber cloth. Reposition stamp on card. You may need to move the card panel away from the corner. Use the magnet or some repositionable adhesive to hold it in place. Stamp the image again.
When placing the stamp make sure you aren’t creating any large open areas. With the first card that was a challenge since the image was so large. The second card, though, is a good example of no trapped space. If you do end up with holes, try to find small stamps to fill the gaps as I did on the margarita card.
3. Continue cleaning, repositioning and stamping the image until the entire panel is full. Be sure to stamp off the edge of the panel to create a more visually pleasing background.
4. Color the stamped panel with OLO Markers. I just recently purchased mine so I’m still getting used to them and won’t be listing the colors I used.
5. Use two light cool gray markers to create a shadow along the left and bottom edge of each stamped image. For background panels, I decided a long time ago to color the shadow to match the image, not the background.
6. Add glossy accents to the hearts on the margarita card. Add Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard to the salt rim and white gel pen detail on the glasses.
7. On the heart card add black marker dots throughout or find a very small stamp to add in those areas.
8. Emboss the sentiments on Pitch Black Cardstock with White Detail Embossing Powder. Cut to size and add to card with thin foam squares.
9. Add panel to an A2 card base and finish with sequins and white hearts.
These are cheerful and fun! Love them!
