Spellbinders Sealed For Summer Wax Seal Cards

Hello! I’ve got two more cards for you today featuring the Sealed for Summer collection from Spellbinders. I enjoy using their wax seal stamps. It’s such an easy and fun technique.

1. Emboss a piece of colored cardstock with the Floral and Vine 3D Embossing Folder. Add an ink in a slightly darker shade than cardstock. Ink and cardstock colors listed below.

2. Die cut pieces from Sealed Blooming Stems out of a variety of cardstock colors. Assemble layers with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

3. Adhere pieces to embossed panel with liquid glue and thin foam squares.

4. For the teal card, pour melted Teal Wax Beads and place Birthday Banner Seal Stamp in wax until set. For purple card pour melted Twilight Purple Wax and place Birthday Banner Seal Stamp then cut out birthday banner with small sharp scissors. Place cut piece back in stamp, pour melted Pastel Lilac Wax Beads and place Birthday Banner Seal Stamp into it. Remove when set.

For the marbled effect I didn’t clean out the spoon after using the Twilight Purple wax.

5. Adhere wax seal over flower stems. Finish with Opalescent Sequins in Teal and Purple in flower center, tucked between layers and throughout card.

I hadn’t originally added ink to the edges of the cardstock but when I did it made a huge difference. you may notice I didn’t cut the banner from the wax properly but it still works, I think. Let me know what you think of wax seals. Thanks for visiting!
