Stenciled 3D Embossing Folders

Hello! Recently, Altenew sent me some products to create with. A few of these were 3D embossing folders with coordinating stencils, which I don’t think I ever used before. So I pulled out a rainbow of colors and got to creating. You can watch a reel on Instagram.

1. Emboss the 3D Embossing Folder on white cardstock. I embossed with 5 1/2 x 8 1/2” panels. I used the Sixties Sunshine and Mariposa 3D Embossing Folders.

2. Tape first stencil in place and blend on a rainbow of ink colors. The inks I used are listed and linked below. I used the Sixties Sunshine and Mariposa stencils.

3. Repeat step 2 for the second and third stencil layers.

4. Cut panels to 4 x 5 1/4” and replace the last stencil over the image.

5. Add Hero Glitter Paste to the center of the flowers and butterfly body. Set aside to dry.

6. Die cut sentiments from the XOXO & More die set twice from Pitch Black Cardstock and once from Black Glitter cardstock. Die cut the shadow from vellum and adhere together.

7. Heat emboss a sentiment from Build-a-Flower Canterbury Bells with White Detail Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock and cut into a strip.

8. Add the die cut sentiment to card with liquid glue. Add the heat embossed sentiment with a foam strip.

9. Finish card with Iridescent Jewels.

I really loved using 3D embossing folders together with stencils. Using a rainbow of colors made these cards even more fun. Thanks for visiting!
