Spellbinders Layered Christmas Stencils Collection

A few months ago Spellbinders released their Layered Stencils Collection and this month they’ve added the Layered Christmas Stencils Collection. There are coordinating dies for the sentiments and color combinations are limitless. My favorite part was adding different pastes to one or two layers.

I don’t have a close up of this card but check out the close up of the next card to see the Gold Hero Paste a little better.

1. Using the Layered Noel Foliage Stencil and Die Bundle, follow the numbers on the stencils to add color to a piece of white cardstock, leaving out stencil 4. Die cut the sentiment.

2. Place stencil 4 and add Gold Hero Paste. Allow to dry.

3. Stencil only stencils 5 and 6 on a separate piece of white cardstock. Cut out as well as two more.

4. Cut panel down using A2 Precision Layering Dies set A and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

5. Adhere all of the sentiment dies with Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Place on card.

6. Add Fashion Rouge Color Essentials Pearl Dots to flower centers.

All of the ink colors I’ve used today are listed and linked below.

1. Using the Layered Joy Tree Stencils, follow the numbers on the stencils to add color to a piece of white cardstock, leaving out stencil 4.

2. Place stencil 4 and add Gold Hero Paste. Allow to dry.

3. Cut panel down using A2 Precision Layering Dies set A and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

I can’t find stencil 2 of this set so I made it work as best I could without it.

1. Using the Layered Merry Christmas Foliage Stencils, ink only stencil 5 on a piece of white cardstock with a rainbow of colors.

2. Cover everything but the sentiment shadow of stencil 6 Then add the Flannel Pawsitively Saturated Ink to the shadow only.

3. Still using Stencil 6, follow the rainbow adding ink only to the openings that are not flower centers. You may want to cover the sentiment or use a small blending brush.

4. Repeat the ink ink for stencil 4 then add Glitter Hero Paste. Let dry.

5. Repeat adding Glitter Hero Paste for stencils 5 and 6 allowing them to dry in between.

6. Cut panel down using A2 Precision Layering Dies set A and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

You could try stenciling over colored cardstock or use only the sentiment. Maybe skip the sentiment altogether and add something to the center. There are many ways to use these fabulous stencils. Head to Spellbinders to see the entire July release.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. These are superb! I already ordered the Noël one. I figure that it’s obligatory for a French teacher, non? Love them both…….

      Bien sûr, merci!
I loved studying French in high school and college! Of course, I haven’t used in 30 years!
