There are four sets in the Stitched For Christmas Collection from Spellbinders. Today I’m sharing cards using Stitched Christmas Tree set and Stitched Starry Argyle Die.
When I first got the Merry Little Christmas Sentiments Glimmer Plates, I hot foiled the entire set with Aura Hot Foil Roll then used the leftover to reverse hot foil. So now I have quite a few sentiments to use.
1. Die cut the tree and pieces from the Stitched Christmas Tree set out of Fern, Timber and Gold Mirror Cardstock.
2. Stitch on the tree with coordinating floss color. I used three strands at once. Stitch the base with gold metallic floss. add gold pieces to tree and base.
3. Emboss the Stitched Starry Argyle Die on a piece of Waterfall cardstock. Add Seafoam and Surf Pawsitively Saturated Inks then splatter with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. adhere to an A2 card base.
4. Add the tree to card with thin foam squares. Die cut extra sentiment blanks and adhere to sentiment then to tree.
5. Add Fashion Rouge Color Essentials Pearl Dots to center of stitching.
1. Die cut the Stitched Starry Argyle Die from Rainforest cardstock.
2. Stitch the piece with white and green floss. There are lines embossed into the cardstock showing whether the floss goes over or under.
3. Add panel to an A2 card base. Die cut extras for the sentiment and adhere together then to card. Adhere sub-sentiment with thin foam squares.
4. Add Iridescent Jewels to the stitching holes.
I find stitching on cardstock releasing, plus it’s easy to take most anywhere and requires few supplies. instead of embellishments, try adding French knots. They are easy to make despite the difficulty I have making them!
