The Just a Note release from Simon Says Stamp is now available and it’s a fun one! My favorite has to be the School Supplies Cling Stamp. Check out the entire release at Simon Says Stamp.
This is a fairly simple card with a lot of coloring but the thing that makes it pop are the shadows. After coloring the images, I start with the darkest cool gray I want to use and add a line up against the image on two sides.
Next I take the medium cool gray and go over the first but also expand the line at the same time. Depending on how dark I went I’ll repeat this with a lighter cool gray.
I finish the shadow by going over the lightest line with the blender or 0 marker to soften the edge.

Cut the Citrus Slice Background twice from white cardstock, saving the inside pieces from one of them. Add one background to an A2 card then ink up slices in a rainbow and adhere into place. Add the second die cut layer when you’ve finished inlaying everything.

After embossing the background with the 3D Embossing Folder, place the A2 Scallop Stencil over it and ink blend. Stamp the sentiment with the same three inks blending between colors.
