Hello! Today I’m joining ScrappyTails design team for a Retro Christmas Instagram Hop! The Retro Christmas Tree Card Kit is really an amazing kit with four different Christmas tree dies as well as dies to turn them into 3D ornaments. Plus stencils, stamps and pattern papers!
Check out the ScrappyTails YouTube channel to learn how to make the 3D ornaments.
1. Die cut the small Retro Christmas Tree twice from Peony Cardstock lights from white cardstock and the Star twice from white glitter cardstock. Add Blossom Core Ink to the edges of one tree.
2. Color the lights in a rainbow of colors with alcohol markers. Adhere to the tree and add Glossy Accents. Set aside to dry.
3. Die cut the small Ornament Base Die from a lightweight white cardstock. Cut off three sections, accordion fold and adhere ends together.
4. Adhere star to each tree. Add the tree with lights to ornament base. Add the second tree directly behind the other, facing in, on the ornament base.
5. Die cut the gifts from the A7 Tree Silhouettes Die Set out of different 6×8 Christmas in July 2023 Pattern Paper. Assemble with liquid glue.
6. Stamp the penguin from the 6×8 Christmas Post Cards and Tags Stamp Set. Color with alcohol markers and cut out with coordinating die.
7. Stamp the sentiment from 6×8 Christmas Post Cards and Tags Stamp Set using Cherry Core Ink on Peony Cardstock. Cut out with coordinating die. Cut two extras and adhere together.
8. Die cut two different sized rounded rectangle Infinity dies out of 6×8 Christmas in July 2023 Pattern Paper. Adhere together then to an A2 card base.
9. Add the tree to the card. Add the sentiment, gifts and penguin to the front of the tree.
10. Create a matching envelope using the 6×6 Snowflake Background Stencil and Blossom Core Ink.
I used 6×6 Christmas Postcards Set of Two Stencils along with 6×6 Snowflake Background Stencil and 6×8 Christmas Post Cards and Tags Stamp Set. I added the panel to paper from the 6×8 Christmas in July 2023 Pattern Paper. I put everything on a piece of white cardstock. I did not use a folded card base on this one.
