I’ve got four cards to share today all featuring the new BetterPress Letterpress System from Spellbinders. Three cards are from the BetterPress Christmas Collection and one is the August BetterPress of the Month.
1. Ink blend a piece of Porcelain A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel with Festive Berries Distress Oxide on the top and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide on the bottom half in landscape.
2. Place the Merriest Christmas Press Plate on the BetterPress platform (the chase) and Porcelain cardstock on the clear top plate (the platen). Add Black BetterPress Ink to the plate, add top plate and run through Platinum 6.
3. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and splatter on White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
4. Die cut elements twice from Make It Merry Florals Dies in Shamrock, Forest and Cranberry Cardstocks. Adhere to card then add Glossy Accents to berries.
5. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.
1. Add Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide to a piece of Porcelain A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel from the center fading out before edges.
2. Place the Chic Merry Christmas Press Plate on the BetterPress platform (the chase) and Porcelain cardstock on the clear top plate (the platen). Add Black BetterPress Ink to the plate, add top plate and run through Platinum 6.
3. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and splatter on White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
4. Add Iridescent Jewels around “Merry” to look like ornaments on a tree.
5. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.
1. Place the Peace on Earth Press Plate on the BetterPress platform (the chase) and Porcelain A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel on the clear top plate (the platen).
2. Add French Blue and Cosmic Sky BetterPress Ink to the plate, add top plate and run through Platinum 6.
3. Use Snowflake Stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to add a soft array of snowflakes around the sentiment.
4. Cut panel to 3 3/4 x 5” and adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.
1. Blend on Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide to top of a Porcelain A2 BetterPress Cotton Card Panel and Spiced Marmalade to the bottom.
2. Place the August BetterPress of the Month Plate on the BetterPress platform (the chase) and Porcelain cardstock on the clear top plate (the platen).
3. Add Mulberry BetterPress Ink to the plate, add top plate and run through Platinum 6.
4. My sentiment was too close to edge of panel. I had messed it up twice so I was trying to figure out a way to avoid doing it three times so here’s what I did.
Cut the sentiment from the panel with Everlasting Circles Die. Die cut the next larger circle and adhere together. Set aside.
5. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and splatter with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
6. Add panel to an A2 card base with foam tape then add sentiment where it originally was. Make sure words don’t hang over edge and cut off overhang.
7. Add Fashion Blush Color Essential Pearl Dots across panel.
