Spellbinders August Clubs

Hello! I’ve got a huge post for you today featuring seven of the eight Spellbinders clubs I design with each month. You can find the eighth, the August BetterPress of the Month HERE. This months clubs were so inspiring. I love the girl on the swing and such a fun pomegranate die! The embossing folders were beautiful and the stitching dies were unique. I also loved having layering stencils available for the Glimmer plate. It was also fun to use the stencil without the glimmer plate.

1. Emboss a piece of white cardstock using the August 3D Embossing Folder of the Month and spray with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Stain with nozzle pressed only halfway to cause splatters.

2. Die cut the August Small Die of the Month from a variety of cardstock colors (listed and linked below). The sentiment in the set is meant to be die cut into the dress. Be sure to do it now before assembling.

3. Assemble die cuts using Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere die cuts.

4. Hot foil sentiment from Must Have Sentiments Glimmer Plates using Aura Hot Foil Roll, cut out and add to panel with thin foam squares.

5. Add panel to an A2 card base and finish with Fashion Color Essential Pearl Dots in Topaz and Rouge.

1. Emboss a piece of white cardstock using the August Embossing Folder of the Month and spray with Hero Arts Ocean Blue and Gold Two Tone Spray with nozzle pressed only halfway to cause splatters.

2. Die cut the August Large Die of the Month from a variety of cardstock colors (listed and linked below). Cut the sentiment from white cardstock.

3. Assemble die cuts using Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere die cuts.

4. Add panel to an A2 card base and finish with Fashion Color Essential Pearl Dots in Topaz and Bella.

1. Die cut the panel die from the August Stitching Die of the Month from white cardstock, the flowers from Wild Berry and Pink Sand and the leaves from cardstock.

2. Stitch the die cuts by bringing the white metallic thread up, catch it in the groove and bring back up through center hole. Repeat. It would be helpful to back the die with double sided adhesive before die cutting to catch the thread and keep it in place but I didn’t do that.

3. Add panel to an A2 card base the. Adhere stitched die cuts with thin foam squares. If you used double sided adhesive either adhere die cuts flat or back them with an additional die cut then add foam squares.

4. Finish with Fashion Color Essential Pearl Dots in Rouge and Bella for flower centers.

1. Hot foil the August Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month with Blush Hot Foil Roll on Hammermill Cardstock. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4”. Hot foil sentiment as well but on a separate piece. Cut to a strip.

2. Use the Overflowing Floral stencils to add color to the foiled image. I used Pawsitively Saturated Inks listed and linked below. Adhere panel to an A2 card base.

3. Add sentiment to card with thin foam squares.

4. Finish with a few Champagne Sequins.

1. Emboss a white panel with the August 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. Add Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink darker at the bottom fading out at the top. Add to an A2 card base.

2. Hot foil the sentiment from Making Me Smile Glimmer Set using Aura Hot Foil Roll. Cut out with coordinating die and cut three extras. Adhere together and to card.

3. Cut flowers and leaves from the August Small Die of the Month. I cut extras while making the other card so they were ready to go! Adhere die cuts above and below sentiment.

4. Finish with Fashion Rouge Color Essential Pearl Dots.

1. Emboss a piece of white cardstock using the August Embossing Folder of the Month.

2. Use the Overflowing Floral stencils to the embossed panel without hot foiling the image first. Ink colors listed and linked below.

3. Adhere panel to an A2 card base.

4. Use the sentiment from the August BetterPress of the Month with Wild Berry BetterPress ink to impress sentiment. Cut out with Everlasting Circles Die.

5. Adhere sentiment with thin foam squares then add Fashion Rouge Color Essential Pearl Dots to card.

1. Create wax seal using August Wax Seal of the Month and Wax Beads. Once cool, add gold metallic pen.

2. Emboss a piece of white cardstock using the August Embossing Folder of the Month. Add Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink from edges getting lighter towards center. Add to an A2 card base.

3. Die cut tag from Create a Decorative Tag Die Set and the same time cutting “thanks” sentiment from the August Large Die of the Month into the top portion of tag.

4. Adhere wax seal to tag and add to card with thin foam squares.

5. Finish with white twine bow on tag and Fashion Bella Color Essential Pearl Dots across card.

I had decided to avoid pink since it was everywhere because of the Barbie movie. Obviously, I was not successful but I do really like how everything turned out.
