Hello! Spellbinders has a number of dancing character dies that are so cute and they’ve just introduced three more with their Dancin’ Halloween Collection. I had so much fun with this card!
1. Use the Spiderweb Background Press Plate, Porcelain Cotton Cardstock and BetterPress Black Ink with the BetterPress System to create the background panel.
You don’t see the black ink after I add color to the background so if you want it to be more noticeable you may want to do this step after adding color.
3. Die cut the Dancin’ Grim robe and the robe hood outline with the hood insert from black Luxe Glitter Cardstock, the hands and skull from white cardstock, the sleeve layer and robe hood outline from Glossy Black Cardstock, Sickle Handle from Timber Cardstock, the sickle blade base from Silver Mirror cardstock and the sickle blade layer from silver glitter cardstock.
2. Spray the panel with Wicked Elixir Distress Mica Stain, then add Fortune Teller Distress Mica Stain to the edges. Finish with a few splatters of Iron Gate DistressMica Stain. Set aside to dry thoroughly. once dry cut to 4 x 5 1/4”.
4. Assemble the die cut pieces with Bearly Arts Precision Glue. Tweezers will help a lot with these specialty cardstocks.
5. Add an adhesive foam circle to the head for the dancing portion plus a few more to the top of the head to secure everything. Loop the opening over the foam circle and place on card panel.
6. Create a sentiment using the Sentiments of Wonder BetterPress Plate and Die set, Porcelain Cotton Cardstock and Black BetterPress Ink. Cut out sentiment plus three extras, adhere together and then to panel.
7. Place the panel on a piece of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2” piece of Onyx Cardstock, then add that to an A2 card base.
8. Add Black Star Confetti throughout. The linked product is not what I used. I can’t find it anywhere.
What do you think of the dancing character dies? I’d love to hear. Thanks for visiting!
