Scrapbook.com sent me a few dies from the new Tim Holtz and Sizzix Holiday 2023 release. I fell in love and while planning realized to make the how I want them to look, I was going to have to make 5 x 7 cards. I’m so thrilled with how they turned out.
1. On a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2” piece of white cardstock, leaving about an inch white, blend on Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Ink from edges toward center, lightening as you go. Add Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink to the center. Finish with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink along the edges. Splatter with with water and White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. Set aside to dry.
2. Die cut trees and stars (cut stars multiple times) from Forest Shadows Die Set. Leave in negative area, hold in place with 4” Mint Tape and add Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Ink to trees leaving bottom white. Add Black Soot over previous ink. Splatter with with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. Spray the stars with Harvest Moon Distress Mica Spray Stain.
3. Die cut the moon from Moonlight Die Set from white cardstock. Lightly add Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to the edges then spray with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
4. Cut background down to 5 x 7, preserving the white at the bottom and add to an A7 card base. Add die cuts to card using Artis Craft Glue.
5. Die cut the sentiment from Script Holiday Words once out of Gold Mirror and twice from white cardstock. Adhere together then to card.

2. Die cut the images in the Reindeer Sleigh Die set. Leave die cuts In negative, holding in place with 4” Mint Tape. Add Black Soot to sleigh and reindeers, add Black Soot. Hickory Smoke and Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Inks to the roof. Use Fired Brick and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide Ink for chimney. I had to mask off this area for the color change. Splatter with with water and White Iridescent Shimmer Spray. Set aside to dry. Don’t add ink to snow, just spray with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
3. Die cut the moon from Moonlight Die Set from white cardstock. Lightly add Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink to the edges then spray with White Iridescent Shimmer Spray.
4. Die cut several extra bottom roof layers and add Hickory Smoke with a Light layer of Uncharted Mariner over it. Spray on Iron Gate Distress Mica Spray Stain. Let dry.
5. Cut background down to 5 x 7 and add to an A7 card base. Assemble and add die cuts to card using Artis Craft Glue. Use the extra roofs to fill in the bottom.
6. Die cut the sentiment from Script Holiday Words once out of Red Mirror Cardstock and twice from Cranberry Cardstock. Adhere together then to card.
7. Finish card with stars from previous card.
