Todays Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember exclusive is Colorado Craft Company! You can get this exclusive limited edition stamp set with or without the coordinating dies. If you want either, don’t wait to grab it since it could sell out quick! I didn’t have the dies so I created a one layer card that requires a small amount of masking but it was totally worth it. I love this cute mouse.
1. Stamp the large image from the exclusive limited edition stamp set on a piece of white cardstock then stamp a mask for just the mouse. I cut off the tail and only masked the body.
2. With mask in place stamp the large paintbrush as if the mouse is stamping on it. Stamp, cut out and place mask.
3. Add the Brick Wall Stencil to the panel with Flannel Pawsitively Saturated Ink, fading to edges. Go right over the flowers.
4. Use low tack tape to mask off everything just above the paintbrush. Add Earl Pawsitively Saturated Ink to the bottom to create a floor or counter.
5. Remove masks and color images with OLO Markers. Add a shadow below the paintbrush and behind the mouse.
6. Stamp sentiment in Earl Pawsitively Saturated Ink, adhere panel to an A2 card base. Finish with a small red heart above sentiment and white gel pen highlights.
It may not have been necessary to mask anything. The ink may have been light enough to color over but I didn’t want to take the chance. Masking the flowers and tail would have been difficult so I took my chances.
Remember if you want to get the Colorado Craft Company STAMPtember Exclusive stamp set you need to get is soon. When it sells out it’s gone for good!
Love this! Your background is perfect.
