Spellbinders released a new collection called The Kaleidoscope Arch Collection. There are four products in it including a stitching die, a beautiful stencil and a even more beautiful press plate. I had a lot of fun using these products to make colorful cards.
1. Blend rainbow of Distress Oxide Inks over the Kaleidoscope Window Stencil on white cardstock. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to a panel of Onyx cardstock then to an A2 card base.
2. Die cut the kaleidoscope arch from the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set twice out of Onyx cardstock and the kaleidoscope layer die four times from gold mirror cardstock.
3. Heat emboss the sentiment from Kaleidoscope Sentiments Stamp Set on the arch die cuts with White Detail Embossing Powder.
4. Adhere the gold arch layer behind the black arch. Adhere the two black arches together in the center then add to card with thin foam squares.
5. Stamp the sub-sentiment with Obsidian Pigment Ink on white cardstock and cut out with banner outline die included in the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set. Adhere to center of joined arches with thin foam squares.
1. Add Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Ink over the Kaleidoscope Window Stencil on white cardstock. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and adhere to an A2 card base.
2. Die cut the kaleidoscope arch and the kaleidoscope arch insert together from the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set out of white cardstock and the kaleidoscope layer die twice from silver mirror cardstock.
3. Stitch the kaleidoscope arch with silver metallic thread then adhere the layer die cuts behind. Add to card with thin foam squares but not too close to the top to accommodate the flowers.
4. Die cut the flower, leaf and stem dies from a rainbow of cardstock colors. Adhere to card above arch with liquid glue.
5. Die cut the banner outline and insert dies together from Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set with cardstock and just the banner outline from silver cardstock. Adhere together then to card with thin foam squares.
6. Add clear enamel dots to flower centers.
1. Impress the Kaleidoscope Flowers Press Plate with a rainbow of BetterPress Inks on a piece of Porcelain Card using the BetterPress System and the Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine. Cut to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to a piece of Onyx Cardstock then to an A2 card base.
2. Die cut the kaleidoscope arch from the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set twice out of white cardstock and the kaleidoscope layer die four times from Glossy Black cardstock.
3. Stamp the sentiment from Kaleidoscope Sentiments Stamp Set with Obsidian Pigment Ink with the arch facing up then stamp the flowers on the second arch with it facing down. Color image with OLO Markers.
4. Adhere arches together and add layer die cuts behind arches. Add to card with thin foam squares.
5. Heat emboss the sentiment from Kaleidoscope Sentiments Stamp Set with white embossing powder cut out and adhere to center of arches.
1. Hot foil the Kaleidoscope Flowers Press Plate with Rainbow Hot Foil Roll. Because of the width of the foil, I had to cut the panel to about 3 3/4 x 5”. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.
2. Cut the kaleidoscope arch and the kaleidoscope arch insert together from the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch Set out of white cardstock. Stitch with black metallic floss.
3. Cut the kaleidoscope layer die twice from Glossy Black cardstock. Adhere behind arch.
4. Emboss the sentiment from Kaleidoscope Sentiments Stamp Set on Onyx Cardstock with white embossing powder and cut out. Adhere arch to card with thin foam squares and sentiment with liquid glue.
