Hero Arts January 2024 My Monthly Hero Release

I’m so excited to share the Hero Arts January 2024 My Monthly Hero kits and add ons today! I love the ink colors included this month in the Classic Kit. They made using the layering stencil so easy. The die cuts in the Premium kit are so beautiful. I loved pairing them with the Clear Sparkle pen also in the Premium Kit. I’ve included brief details for each kit card but at the bottom you will find a detailed tutorial for the add on card using the beautiful new bold print and fancy die.

After stenciling with the layering stencils and inks in the Classic Kit, I cut the heart out of the panel and out of an A2 top fold card base. I inked the die cut words and cut four extras, I adhered them to the card front in the areas they overlap.

I stenciled this card with only the Azalea ink included in the Classic Kit, using different amounts of pressure depending on the layer.

I used the Summer Sky Ink from the Classic Kit for the first layer and die cut the heart then embossed the sentiment on it. I inked the card base lightly with Azalea and stamped a few small flower from the kit.

This card is basically the same as the first card I shared except I added die cut flowers and banner from the Premium Kit. I added Clear Sparkle Lacquer Pen, also from the kit, to parts of the flower and die cut words.

I die cut the word “Love” from a stenciled piece that didn’t work out well as a full panel. The die cut flowers and leaves are part of the Premium Kit. The card base is inked with Moss Ink from the Classic Kit. I finished things off with Clear Sparkle Lacquer Pen throughout.

I die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves from the Premium Kit, Inked them with inks from the Classic Kit. For me, the card worked better with all the same color flowers. I finished it with some Clear Sparkle Lacquer Pen.

1. Stamp the Ode To Andy Warhol Bold Print on two panels of Smooth White Cardstock using Granite Core Ink for one and Cherry Core Ink for the other. The same section should be stamped on each. Blend over them with the same colors.

2. Die cut the Chandelier Fancy Die from the Cherry panel in the exact spot you wish it to appear over the Granite panel. Die cut three extras from white cardstock. Adhere together.

3. Cut Granite panel to 4 x 51/4” and adhere stacked chandelier to match the text. Splatter with white gouache.

4. Stamp the sentiment from the Your Mine Bundle with Cherry Core ink and cut out with coordinating die.

5. Stamp the sentiment from Loving Sentiment Strips and cut out with Sentiment Strips Fancy Die.

6. Adhere sentiments to panel with thin foam squares.

7. Add leftover section of Cherry panel to an A2 card base and place Granite panel over it.
