Spellbinders sent me three colors of Color Essentials Gems from their June release for me to try out. I decided to make a card that showcases all three colors they sent me.
1. Impress the Floral Celebration Press Plate on Porcelain BetterPress Cardstock.
2. Use the coordinating Layering Stencil Set to color the panel. I used Twisted Citron Distress Oxide for three top third, Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide for the middle and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide for the bottom third.
3. I used the same ink for each stencil layer but I did try to vary how much I applied.
4. Adhere panel to an A2 card base then begin adding gems. I used Peridot, Denim and Orchid Color Essentials Gems. They are adhesive backed but I prefer to add a small amount of liquid glue to be sure they stay.
5. Die cut the sentiment from Handwritten Sentiments once out of Silver Glitter Cardstock and three times from white cardstock. Cut a shadow from white cardstock and adhere everything together.
6. Add sentiment to card with thin foam squares to avoid as many gems as possible. I did need to remove one.
