The Happy Rainbow Stencil Set is a large 6×9” set of four stencils able to create a variety of stenciled designs. By stenciling on a full 8 1/2 x 11” piece of white cardstock I was able to cut it down to make two A2 cards.

1. Start with a full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11” white cardstock and place the first stencil from the Happy Rainbow Stencil Set. Blend on Pawsitively Saturated Ink. Repeat for first three stencils to finish rainbow.

2. Line up fourth stencil and ink each section ink one shade darker from each trio of inks. All ink colors I used are listed and linked below.

3. Line up the cardstock so that the bottom is lined up along cutting edge of paper trimmer. Trim cardstock.

4. Cut the rainbow in half and trim the sides with white down to A2 size.

Left Card:

1. Die cut the sentiment from Line Love You out of Black Glitter Cardstock and adhere to shadow layer cut from vellum.

2. Heat Emboss a sentiment from Rainbows and Butterflies with White Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock. Trim with Coordinating Dies or Sentiment Label Die as I did.

3. Stamp solid butterflies from the Rainbows and Butterflies stamp set to match where they will be placed on card and cut out with coordinating dies.

4. Place panel on an A2 card base then add sentiments and butterflies with thin foam squares and Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

Right Card:

1. Emboss the rainbow panel with the Sunrise Overlay Embossing Folder then adhere to an A2 card base.

2. Die cut Splendid from black glitter cardstock and adhere to vellum shadow layer.

3. Emboss the rest of the sentiment from Splendid Sentiments with White Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock. Cut out with Sentiment Label Dies.

  3. I thought this was one big card at first LOL. The texture you’ve added is phenomenal and I really like the colors you chose for your bows. I also really like the sentiments!! TFS –

  4. Love the 2 different cards from one stenciled sheet, and how the added texture makes them just a little bit different.

  6. I love stencils but when you add an embossing folder for texture, that raises the “love” factor! Beautiful cards.

  7. Love your two for one approach! The texture on that second one is delish and so fun to see the different approaches. Love the black glitter cardstock you used for the sentiments too. Gorgeous creations, both xoxo

  8. Very productive to use the full rainbow to create two cards at once. At first I thought it was a gatefold card and thought THAT was a fun way to change things up, with the one side textured, but even more productive to make two cards at once. Cute cards. Thanks for sharing.

  9. I am so impressed by your two cards!!! The mirror image left me in awe. Truly creative! I must try your technique. Great colors and layout! Thank you for the ideas!!!

  10. Lovely cards, I especially like the use of the embossing folder to add texture to your second card, really bumps it up a notch!

  11. I love the idea of a larger stencil to blend two card fronts at the same time. I also love the overall design and colors used. Well done!

  12. Love that you made two cards from one stencil! And the arched embossing on the background was an awesome addition! These cards would make anyone’s day so bright!

  13. I love this rainbow stencil set and seeing you create two card panels in one clinched it for me. It’s definitely going on my wish list! :). These are great cards!
