Spellbinders Yana’s Poppies Collection

Yana’s Poppies is a new collection from Spellbinders and Yana Smakula. There’s only three products in this collection including a press plate, stencil set and a die set.

Both cards I’m sharing today feature the Poppy Background Press Plate and the stencil set which can only be purchased as a bundle with the press plate.

I created one card using the Poppy Background Press Plate with the BetterPress System and Cosmic BetterPress Ink on Porcelain BetterPress A2 Card Panels.

I used Worn Lipstick, Lumberjack Plaid, Rustic Wilderness, Peeled Paint and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Inks with the stencil set. It turned out great but the Distress Oxide Inks stay on top of the dark lines on BetterPress cards. Regular Distress Inks or dye inks in general may have been a better choice.

For the second card, I hot foiled the Poppy Background Press Plate with Aura Hot Foil Roll then cut it out with the Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Set. I used the same inks as with the first card.

I hot foiled sentiments from Birthday Sentiments with Aura Hot Foil Roll then added Color Essentials Gems in Prism AB and Aura.
