The August Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month from Spellbinders is a fun paint splatter that I’ve used in two different ways on these cards. The August Small Die of the Month is a great set of word dies plus their shadows.
1. Hot foil the August Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month plate with Mini Rainbow Stripes Hot Foil Roll. I did my best to line up the stripes of the foil with the angle of the splatter.
2. Cut out the foiled panel with the largest Perfect Touch Rectangles and Tag Die. Adhere to an A2 card base.
3. Die cut the paintbrush from the Stitching Die of the Month out of Onyx Cardstock, the connector from Brushed Silver Cardstock and just the brush end from white cardstock.
4. Stitch the brush and connector from silver and black metallic thread. Color the brush with OLO Markers. Adhere together.
5. The way I angled the foil meant I needed to use a second piece so there’s a line towards the bottom. Add the sentiment from the BetterPress of the Month over the line using thin foam squares.
6. Add the paintbrush with thin foam squares.
1. Hot foil the August Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month using Black Hot Foil Roll in the top left corner of an A2 panel.
2. Ink blend the panel with Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Inks. It dulled the foil more than I expected so in the future I would try ink blending first then foiling. Add to an A2 card base.
3. Die cut the words from the August Small Die of the Month out of Black Glitter Cardstock once and Onyx Cardstock twice. Adhere together the to card.
4. Die cut flowers from the August Large Die of the Month out of white cardstock. Adhere to card and add Dimensional Two Tone Teal Enamel Dots.
