Spellbinders Let It Snow by Simon Hurley

The new Let It Snow Collection from Spellbinders and Simon Hurley is so much fun. I planned to make a quick cute card with the penguins and ended up with three cards I love. They definitely weren’t quick though!

1. Blend Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide over a piece of white cardstock. Splatter on water then spray with Uncharted Mariner Distress Spritz. Let dry.

2. Die cut snowflakes from Layering Snowflakes out of white glitter cardstock then the shadow layer from Mist Cardstock.

3. Add a light layer of the leftover ink on the blending brush to the edges of the snowflake shadow layer. adhere snowflakes to shadows.

4. Die cut sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments out of white glitter cardstock and shadows from Mist Cardstock. Add ink to edges as in step 3 then adhere together.

5. Adhere snowflakes to inked panel. Cut off overhang and use those pieces to fill in the edges.

6. Adhere panel to an A2 card base then add sentiment.

1. Die cut the Frozen Flurries Dies from Mist Cardstock. Remove but save all inner pieces

2. Blend Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide over panel, darker at the edges. Splatter on water then spray with Uncharted Mariner Distress Spritz. Let dry

3. Die cut the penguins from Playful Penguins out of various cardstock colors. Assemble with liquid glue.

4. Die cut the sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments out of red glitter cardstock and shadows from vellum. Adhere together.

5. Adhere die cut panel over a piece of white glitter cardstock. Place something heavy over this piece while glue dries.

6. Add panel to an A2 card base then adhere penguins and sentiment to card.

1. Die cut the Frozen Flurries Dies from white cardstock twice, keep all pieces in one of them using wide low tack tape.

2. Blend a rainbow of Distress Oxide Colors over the snowflakes still in the panel. Adhere second panel over inked one.

3. Die cut sentiment from Handwritten Holiday Sentiments out of black glitter cardstock and shadows from vellum. Adhere together.

4. Add panel to an A2 card base then adhere sentiment.

  1. These are SO delightful… like the weather outside… and not a bit frightful LOL. I love these new items from SH. I already have a ton of snowflakes and am not sure I could justify purchasing more but the penguins… Hmmm…
    Thanks for the inspo!
