Hero Arts Holiday 2024 Catalog Blog Hop and Giveaway

I’m so excited to be a part of the Hero Arts Holiday 2024 Catalog blog hop and giveaway! I’ve got two cards to share today that feature multiple products from the new Holiday Catalog. Read to the end for giveaway information and the list of designers in the hop.

1. Place Color Layering Poinsettia Pattern Stencils stencil 1 over a panel of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and add Cherry Core Ink. I added a small bit of shading with the Cranberry Core Ink for the tiny flowers and berries.

2. Switch to stencil 2 and add Cranberry Core Ink.

3. For stencil 3 add Fresh Lawn Core Ink.

4. Switch to stencil 4 and add Pine Core Ink to the leaf layers and Periwinkle Core Ink to the rest of the stencil.

5. Stamp the Festive Pattern Bold Prints over the stenciled panel using Contour Ink.

6. Stamp sentiments from Joyful Christmas Messages using Periwinkle Core Ink the cut out with coordinating die and the small one into a strip. Adhere to panel.

7. Die cut the largest Scalloped Rectangles Infinity Die along with a Rectangle Infinity Die to create a frame. Adhere over stenciled panel.

8. Add panel to an A2 card base cut slightly smaller so it’s not visible behind scalloped edges. Adhere Hero Hues Enamels Dots from Blues and Sunset.

The Cozy Study Bundle is definitely not just for the holidays. Pair it up with many other stamps of a similar size.

1. Stamp images from the Cozy Study Bundle with Intens-ified Black Ink on Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Color with alcohol markers and cut out with coordinating dies.

2. Stamp a piece of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock with the Abstract Poinsettia Bold Prints using second generation stamping with Periwinkle Core Ink.

3. Stamp the rug outline from the Cozy Study Bundle on a panel of Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock and on masking paper. Cut out mask, keeping negative as well.

4. Place negative portion of mask to cover everything except the rug. Stamp with Festive Pattern Bold Prints using Periwinkle Core Ink. Remove negative mask and add mask to rug.

5. Stamp panel with the Woodgrain Bold Prints with Espresso Core Ink. Blend over it with a blending brush and Sand Core Ink to soften.

If I’d had more time, I would have tried to get the perspective correct on the woodgrain of the floor.

6. Cut first panel to 4 x 5 1/4” then cut second down to fit it as rug runs off bottom of panel. Add a 1/4” strip of white cardstock to join the two and adhere to an A2 card base.

7. Adhere die cut images to card using thin foam squares and Precision Glue where they overlap.

8. Stamp sentiment with Cherry Core Ink and cut out with coordinating dies. Adhere to card with thin foam squares.

9. Add white gel pen highlights to stamped images throughout.

  1. Jennifer, I love both your cards…your stenciling is just great and I love the homey scene too! Both are perfect for the holidays! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Fabulous cards! Your scene is super adorable. And I love how you stamped the Festive Pattern Bold Prints over the stenciled panel!

  3. I LOVE that festive pattern stamp and the way you used it in both cards. It’s so detailed and adds so much interest to your beautifully stamped stencil card and the pretty doggy rug. Can’t wait to order that one!

  5. Wow. I love the texture you’ve added to both cards with the bold background stamps. The patterned rug, the wallpaper, the woodgrain floor, but especially the layer over the stenciling on the first card – just gorgeous. And I love that stack of books in the cozy scene!

  6. Such gorgeous cards! The stencilled one is so fresh and pretty and the fireside scene is coloured beautifully. And your use of the pattern stamp for the rug was a stroke of stamping genius! Beautiful work!

  7. Lovely cards–the ink blending with stencil is lovely on the poinsettia card. I love the dog by the fire on the 2nd card!
