The September BetterPress of the Month includes a registration template and individual leaves. Use the template or make your own pattern. I used the template with Distress Oxide Inks and when I tried to ink the plate already on the platform, it made quite a mess! So I figured out a way to ink the plates, lift them and place on template without wiping off ink. My process is described below.
1. Blend Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink on Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel from bottom right fading to top left.
2. Adhere BetterPress of the Month registration template to the platform and pick plates to use.
3. Place plates on Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat, ink up with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink then add Peeled Paint to certain areas with a blending brush. Bend mat to remove plate, holding it on the edges. Place on template.
4. Repeat for next set with Spiced Marmalade blending in Lumberjack Plaid. Third set uses Lumberjack Plaid with Uncharted Mariner blended in.
5. Add some Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide to a scrap piece of Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panel and impress sentiment from BetterPress of the Month. Cut out with strip die.
6. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and add sentiment with thin foam squares.
7. Wrap Black Cord around panel and tie in a bow on front. Add card to an A2 card base.
