Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp DieCember 2024 Blog Party! You can find links to all the designers blog post on the Simon Says Stamp blog. Cover plate dies are one of my favorite dies to use so I’m sharing a card made using the new Whirl Nordic Plate die.
Customers who spend $100 or more on DieCember® release products will receive an exclusive Fancy Ornaments embossing folder and die set. The free gift will be automatically added to their cart once they meet the dollar amount requirement. It’s a retail value of $24.99!
1. Cut the Whirl Nordic Plate die from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. I think a shim is essential to get all those detailed lines cut perfectly.
2. Line up the cut panel over and A2 size panel and blend on Marine Pawsitively Saturated Ink behind the flower.
3. Add Cadette Pawsitively Saturated Ink behind flower center fading out to lighter ink.
4. Add Royal Pawsitively Saturated Ink behind flower center only.
5. Adhere edges and flower centers to inked panel only. Add to an A2 card base.
6. Die cut the tag in the Ho Ho Hello die set from Deluxe Smooth White Cardstock. Stamp sentiment from Big Hanukkah Words stamp set in Royal Pawsitively Saturated Ink.
7. Add tag with thin foam squares then tie a bow with two strands of metallic thread. Adhere to tag.
8. Finish card with Opal Pawsitively Dazzling Gems in flower centers and on tag.

That cover die is so clever. I love it. I also like the sentiment… could be xmas or sympathy. Great work!
