I made the time to use the Hero Arts March 2025 Layering Stencils of the Month this weekend. It’s a beautiful set and I wanted to create a rainbow card. I was thrilled to realize I only needed two shades of each color to achieve this look.

1. Line up stencil 1 (they are marked) from the March Layering Stencils in the corner of the Altenew Stampwheel with a half sheet of white cardstock.
2. Begin at the top blending on Peony Core Ink. Start off lighter than you may want. Putting everything in the corner means it’s easy to line the stencils up.
3. Continue through the rainbow with Papaya, Lemon Yellow, Green Apple, Dusty Blue and Passion Flower Core Inks.

4. Switch to stencil 2 and repeat from top with Cotton Candy, Tangerine, Butter Bar, Fresh Lawn, Cornflower and Orchid Core Inks. You may want to check that the second shade actually shows up darker than the first and adjust accordingly.
5. Switch to stencil 3 and return to the first set of inks then use the second set for stencil 4.
6. Heat emboss sentiment from the March Clear Set and Die of the Month with White Embossing Powder on Pitch Black Cardstock and cut out with coordinating die. Cut twice more and adhere together.
7. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to an A2 card base then add sentiment.
Subscriptions for March close on the 27th so head to Hero Arts if you’re interested in any!
