Spellbinders Spring in Kyoto Collection by Alex Syberia

The Spring In Kyoto Collection by Alex Syberia from Spellbinders is a beautiful collection of press plates, dies and the embossing folder I’m using today. Starting with colored cardstock helps to speed up the ink blending time and effort. I know it looks like a lot of gems on this card but they are relatively inexpensive but I really think they finish this card off.

1. Emboss a panel of Blush ColorWheel Cardstock with the Floral Fans 3D Embossing Folder.

2. Ink blend over panel from bottom right with Peony, Cotton Candy and Azalea Core Inks.

3. Using an Azalea Core Ink Cube, gently run it across panel so that it only catches the most raised areas. It would work with the full size ink pad but I like the control the small one gave me.

4. Cut panel to 4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to an A2 card base cut from Blush ColorWheel Cardstock.

5. Hot foil a sentiment from Reel Color Sentiments BetterPress Plate and Die Set using Magenta Hot Foil Roll on Blush Cardstock. Cut out with Coordinating die and adhere to card with thin foam squares.

6. Adhere Berry Color Essentials Gems to the center of various flowers throughout card.

Head to Spellbinders to see the entire May Release. Thanks for visiting!
