Spellbinders Cheerful Chirps Collection

The Cheerful Chirps Collection from Spellbinders includes adorable bird dies plus an embossing folder and fun bird themed sentiments. I love it all and plan to make several more cards with it.

1. Stamp sentiment from Spread Your Wing Sentiments Stamp Set using Intens-ified Black Ink in bottom right corner of a top fold A2 card base.

2. Emboss a panel of Beeswax ColorWheel Cardstock using the Bamboo Screen 3D Embossing Folder. Cut to 4 1/4 x 4 3/4” if using same stamp otherwise cut panel to fit just above sentiment. Adhere panel.

3. Die cut pieces from the Flying High Die Set out of Classic White, Saffron, Rainforest, Fern, Teal Topaz, Acorn and Raven ColorWheel Cardstock.

4. Assemble die cuts using liquid glue and thin foam squares. I added thin foam squares between layers of the bird for some fabulous dimension. Adhere to card.

5. Cut several tiny flowers from Pretty Birds Die Set out of Classic White Cardstock and adhere throughout card. Add smallest sequin Chameleon Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins.

1. Die cut perch pieces from the Pretty Birds Die Set from Matte Gold Metallic Cardstock once and Oceanside ColorWheel Cardstock twice. Adhere together. Cut base three times from Acorn ColorWheel Cardstock and adhere together.

2. Use perch die cuts to find an Essential Arches die slightly larger. Secure die to an A2 panel of Oceanside ColorWheel Cardstock using a low tack tape. Line top cutting plate up over arch to just where perch will end and run through Platinum 6 Die Cutting Machine. Remove die and position it so bottom of arch sits where base of perch will go. Run through machine again with plate over only the bottom of die just until you hear it cut then back it out of machine.

3. Emboss panel and a piece of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock using the Bamboo Screen 3D Embossing Folder.

4. Adhere a panel of acetate behind opening then add double layer of foam tape leaving no gaps around arch. Add Chameleon Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins to well and secure white embossed panel over it.

5. Die cut pieces from Pretty Birds Die Set out of Tutu, Wild Berry, Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Blush, Beeswax, Saffron, Rainforest and Raven ColorWheel Cardstock. Use inks to add shading to bird die cuts.

6. Adhere perch to acetate then assemble and adhere birds with thin foam squares. Place base then add feet.

7. Adhere flower die cuts throughout panel. Add Chameleon Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins to centers.

8. Heat emboss sentiment from Spread Your Wing Sentiments Stamp Set on Oceanside ColorWheel Cardstock with White Detail Embossing Powder. Cut into a strip and adhere.

If I had thought of it before embossing panel, I could have stamped sentiment directly to it then let the bottom stamped section hang out of embossing folder.
