Waffle Flower August Release – Summer Afternoon

I’m so excited that Waffle Flower sent me products from their August release to create with! It’s called Summer Afternoon. So many beautiful products it’s hard to choose a favorite!

In addition, they are launching their Ink Swatch 2.0 which builds on their previous swatching products! I haven’t had much time to play with them but I did start with a little swatching of the Distress Oxide Inks I used on this card. I used the Ink Swatch 2×2 Die and Ink Swatch 2×2 Stencil. 1. On a panel of white cardstock, blend on a rainbow of Distress Oxide Inks. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Prize Ribbon, Seedless Preserves. Splatter with Sparkle Splatter Effects.

2. Die cut the Quatrefoil Panel Die from white cardstock three times. Adhere together then to inked panel.

3. Cut the Overlapping Vertical Hugs Word Die (Gift with $60+ purchase) once from Black Glitter Cardstock and twice from white cardstock.

4. Die cut Mix n Match Butterflies out of white cardstock. Also cut the butterfly bodies from black glitter cardstock.

5. Ink up the butterflies to match the color behind them on panel. Assemble with liquid glue, holding them together with tweezers while glue dries.

6. Adhere word die to panel with thin foam squares then add butterflies with liquid glue only at the center so the wings can pop up a bit.

7. Add card panel to an A2 card base.
