Hero Arts released three collections for January 2026. The card I’m sharing today is from the Packed With Love Collection. When paired with the Big Mouth Slider Dies, you can create a sliding panel. I love interactive cards and I really love when a company offers new uses for an older product.
1. Die cut the frame from the Big Mouth Slider Dies twice from white cardstock. Adhere together then to an A2 card base.
2. Cut the pieces from the Big Mouth Sardine Tin Die Set out of Bellini, Malibu, Breeze, Oceanside, Coral ColorWheel Cardstock. Cut the frame and pull tab once from Silver Metallic Cardstock. Cut pull tab twice more from white cardstock to reinforce it.
3. Use the placement guide included in the Big Mouth Sardine Tin Die Set to cut the window from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2” panel of Malibu ColorWheel Cardstock.
4. Stamp the Wide Stripe Bold Print Cling on the Malibu panel with Periwinkle Core Ink. Splatter panel with White Speckle and White Iridescent Shimmer Mist. Let dry.
5. Stamp the Slider die cut with the sentiment and fish from the Well Preserved Stamp and Cut with Periwinkle and Pink Grapefruit Core Inks. Splatter panel with White Speckle and White Iridescent Shimmer Mist. Let dry.
6. Splatter fish with White Iridescent Shimmer Mist. Let dry.
7. Blend Periwinkle Core Ink between the frame on card panel. Splatter with White Iridescent Shimmer Mist. Let dry.
8. Adhere die cuts to card base using striped panel as a guide.
9. Stamp sentiment on striped panel with Periwinkle Core Ink.
10. Place slider die cut inside frame then adhere cover panel by placing glue only on frame.
11. Adhere silver frame, layered pull tab, circle and anchor to card.
