I’m a huge fan of the dancing dies like the Santa and Elf in the July Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders! They are easy to assemble like the Santa card I’m creating today.
1. Hot foil the July Press and Foil of the Month on a panel of Malibu ColorWheel Cardstock with Aura Hot Foil Roll. Cut out with the largest Perfect Touch Rectangle.
2. Die cut pieces from the July Large Die of the Month for the tree from Rainforest ColorWheel Cardstock. Line them up and cut the edge using the Perfect Touch Rectangle.
3. Splatter tree pieces using the Sparkle Splatter Effects. Let dry.
4. Die cut Santa from July Large Die of the Month out of Poppy, Fog, Raven, Blush and Chiffon ColorWheel Cardstock plus Antique White Glitter Cardstock.
5. Assemble Santa with all pieces except the legs.
6. Adhere tree to card using foam adhesive. Cut a piece of Truffle ColorWheel Cardstock using the Perfect Touch Rectangles for the corner and add to tree.
7. Add Double Sided Adhesive Foam Round where the legs will hang on the back of Santa. Loop legs in place and use low tack tape to hold it in place. Add foam adhesive to top of Santa where it won’t interfere with swinging legs. Add Santa to card panel.
8. Die cut pieces for lights from Raven, Peridot, Orchid, Mulberry, Malibu and Poppy. Assemble and adhere to tree.
9. Heat emboss sentiment from the July Clear Stamp and Die of the Month with White Detail Embossing Powder. Cut out with coordinating die and die cut again from Matte Gold Cardstock. Adhere together offset. Add to card using foam tape.
10. Finish with glossy accents on lights and white gel pen highlights.
