The Halloween Hugs Collection from Spellbinders is another adorable release from Simon Hurley. This is the third Hugs collection and might be my favorite. The instructions for these three cards are the same so I’ve included them only once and specific inks or cardstock colors can be found at the end of this post.
1. On a panel of Classic White ColorWheel Cardstock, stencil clouds using the Clouds and Grass Scenic Stencil and a Distress Oxide Ink. Color used are linked below.
2. Stencil over the clouds a second time adding Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink just to the top of each cloud.
3. Splatter panel with Raven Splatter Effects. Let dry.
4. Create card base by die cutting two of the largest Arch dies from white cardstock. Score one 1/4” from top. Add adhesive above score line only and adhere second arch.
5. Die cut largest Perfect Touch Arch from Raven ColorWheel Cardstock and the largest arch from Color Block Accent Arches Dies out of ColorWheel Cardstock. Adhere together then to card.
6. Die cut stenciled panel from a smaller Perfect Touch Arch Die. Adhere to card.
7. Die cut the Franc, Drac or Wickedly Sweet Dies out of various ColorWheel and specialty cardstocks. Assemble using liquid adhesive and add to card.
8. Create sentiment using Spooky Season Letterpress and Foil Plates and Dies and Black BetterPress Ink on Porcelain Cotton BetterPress Cardstock. Cut out with coordinating dies. Add sentiment to card.
