Today, I’ve used an autumn color palette with the September Stencil of the Month. I wanted to be able to see most of it with the gorgeous fall colors so I kept the rest of the card very simple. The second card uses the same color palette except with cardstock instead of inks.
For each stencil layer from the September Stencil of the Month, I used a different Distress Oxide Ink except the layer with the tree. That one required two ink colors. I used Lumberjack Plaid, Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink. For my second card I used the same color palette but added blue.
I splattered the background with Gold Rush Splatter Effects and added a few Gold Sequins. The sentiment is from the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month.
I skipped the stitching on the September Stitching Die of the Month but still liked the look of the stitching lines in some places. Especially where I added a different color behind the stitching holes. The cardstock colors are linked below.
The background is the September Embossing Folder of the Month. And the sentiment is from the September Clear Stamp and Die of the Month. I added a die cut piece of Beeswax ColorWheel Cardstock offset behind the sentiment to make it stand out a bit.
