Hello! I’ve got a new card for the A Blog Named Hero Floral Challenge. You still have until the 26th to enter your project for a chance to win a Hero Arts gift card! This card was inspired by a one recently created by Ardith Percy-Robb. I loved the gray and yellow color scheme and the flower she used.
The products used are listed at the end of the post.
1. Stamp the flower from the Better Together set using Lemon Yellow and Butter Bar Mid-Tone Shadow Inks for the flower and Soft Granite and Charcoal Shadow Inks for the stem and leaves. I used a Misti stamp positioner so I could stamp the image multiple times for good ink coverage. Die cut pieces with coordinating dies.
2. On a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”, stamp the Script Bold Print with Soft Granite Ink.
3. Add Soft Granite ink to the entire stamped panel with a blending brush. Apply heavier on the edges.
4. Using a stamp positioner, stamp the sentiment with Intens-ified Black Ink. Leave stamp in positioner.
5. Adhere flower with foam tape and stem with liquid glue right on top of stamped sentiment.
6. Stamp sentiment again to cover stem.
7. Adhere panel to a white A2 card base with adhesive tape.
This card is quite simple but the color combo really makes things pop! I originally planned to make the stem and leaves green but I like them in gray to make the yellow stand out more. I hope you’ll enter your own floral project and be sure to visit the A Blog Named Hero Facebook Page for so much more inspiration!
