Hello! I’m excited to be part of the Jane Davenport blog hop today. I’ve used a few of her products to create this fun underwater scene for you. Be sure to read all the way through for giveaway information and a link to the next blog along the hop!
1 Cut a piece of watercolor paper larger than 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and tape it down to a board. I cut my paper into quarters and taped it to a clipboard for a vertical orientation.
2. Using the Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers, scribble across paper using markers. You’ll want to leave plenty of bare spots along the way. I used the following from top to bottom: Siren, Byron Bay, Bluebottle, Deep Sea
3. Gently spray water on the paper, tilting the board to make it run side to side mostly but some up and down to blend. Collect excess water with a paper towel.
4. Before it dries add more marker by squeezing marker gently and brushing it across paper. Try to blend with the color above and below. Once satisfied, allow panel to dry.
5. Cut panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”.
6. Stamp Sea Kelp stamp with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle with The RealTeal Embossing Powder and heat set.
7. Splatter on water and blot with a paper towel. Allow to dry.
8. Use the Unicorn colored pencil in the Magic Wand Colored Pencil set to color in the splatters going heavier at the bottom. Make them round if possible. Use the Ink pencil to add a dark line at the top of the splatter then softly blending the rest with the white coloring.
9. Adhere panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.
10. Hot foil sentiments from Everyday Sentiments II Glimmer Hot Foil Plate on Nautical cardstock with Moondust Hot Foil Roll. Cut into strips and adhere to panel with foam tape.
11. Add clear droplets with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
