STAMPtember Hero Arts Collaboration

Hello! Today’s Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set is Make a Wish from Hero Arts. I’m a huge fan of there’s and have been for decades so I’m honored to create a card for this limited edition release! Remember, it is an exclusive limited edition to Simon Says Stamp so when it’s gone it’s gone.

1. Cluster all of the stamps from Make a Wish stamp set in one section of a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” and placed in a Misti Stamping Tool. I usually start in the top right corner.

2. Stamp images with Intense Black Ink. Clean your stamps. If you use a liquid cleaner, make sure it’s completely dry before moving on.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 until the entire card is filled with the stamped images. Be cautious when placing stamps that you don’t leave awkward holes in the middle of the card.

4. Color the images using Copic markers.I used E44, E47, E49, E50, E53, E55, E57, R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, BG10, BG23, W00, W1, N0, N2, 0. To keep things simpler, color the image the same throughout the card. For example, color all donuts pink and every candy teal.

Also, pick markers that will create a different effect depending on how dark or light you use them. For example, R30, R32, R35 on the donut is a nice light pink but if you use R35, R37, R39 you’ve got a nice deep red for the strawberry.

Links to the marker colors can be found at the bottom of this post.

5. Use N2 to create a shadow by drawing a thin line just outside the image on the left and bottom. Next use N0 to draw over that line plus a little wider to soften the shadow. Finally use the Blender Marker to soften the edges of the shadow.

6. Add little dots throughout the panel using R35, BG23, 100.

7. Stamp he sentiment with Embossing and Watermark Ink onto Pitch Black cardstock. Sprinkle on White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. Cut with a Nested Banners die. Cut an additional banner die from Cranberry cardstock and adhere offset from the other. Place on panel with foam tape.

8. Add panel to an A2 card base. Add glossy accents to strawberries, white highlights throughout and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen on the ice cream bowl and the candy.

Remember, this is a limited addition stamp exclusive to Simon Says Stamp. Once it sells out I will not be restocked so if you want the Hero Arts Make a Wish stamp set, head over there and get it.
