Graduation Card

The May challenge at Papercraft Business Challenge is anything goes. My son is a senior in high school. May 12 was supposed to be his high school graduation day. With the state of the world right now, he is not getting a graduation ceremony so I plan to make that day extra special for him! Including making him an extra special card like this one.

I began with a panel of Neenah cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. I played around with the placement of the Lovely Legs Graduation stamp set for a while until I found one I liked the best. Once I was satisfied with the placement I stamped only the image at first.

I colored the image with COPIC markers. I used B28 and B24 for the cap and gown, E00 and E13 for the hands, N2 and N0 for the shirt, N8, and N4 for the pants and shoes, YG93 and YG96 for the grass. I lightened a few areas on the gown with the 0 marker to add a bit more of a highlight in spots. I then added white gel pen for more highlight.

I stamped the sentiments where I had originally decided. To get the 20 to line up for the second stamping I slid the cardstock over in the Misti until it was in the right spot.

The school colors are blue and gold and I hadn’t added any gold so I matted the white cardstock with a piece of blue cardstock and a piece of gold-yellow cardstock.

Be sure to enter any project to the Papercraft Business Challenge this month for a chance to win the above prize.
