Framed Images One Layer Card Featuring New Colorado Craft Company

Hello! I’m thrilled to share my first card with you for the October Colorado Craft Company release. This month they are debuting a stamp line featuring the art of Anita Jeram. She is a children’s book illustrator, including illustrating Guess How Much I Love You and the newly released Will You Be My Friend? Be sure to read to the end for a giveaway!

Some links below are affiliate links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.

For this card I used every stamp set included in this release. This is, of course, not necessary if you wish to replicate it. You could do this with one or two stamp sets and even use only one frame stamp set.

Here are the stamps I used:

Cut a piece of Neenah 110lb Classic Crest cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Decide where the sentiment will go but do not stamp it.

Place the frames from the This is Us Frames and Wall Words stamp sets throughout the panel around the sentiment stamps. Some frames may have to be used more than once to fill the panel.

Stamp the frames using Soft Granite ink from Hero Arts. I used a Misti Stamping Tool but it can be done with acrylic blocks as well.

Stamp the frames onto Gina K. Designs Masking Magic Sheets and cut out to cover the blank space inside the frames. The cutting does not have to be precise at all. Place over stamped frames.

Stamp the background with the stripes and dots stamp from the Stripes and Dots stamp set with Gina K Design Amalgam Ink in Whisper. I placed mine centered in the Misti, stamped the first set, moved the card panel to the left, stamped it and then repeated this on the right.

Remove masks. Choose an image for each frame. Use Post It Full Stick Notes to cover the frame and the background. Stamp the image in the open frame using Gina K. Designs Amalgam ink in Obsidian. Repeat for all images.

Color the images using Copic Sketch Markers. I used:

  • BV0000, BV00, R01, R20, R22, YR12, YR21, YR23, YR27, YR31, YG03, YG17, BG000, BG11, BG90, BG93, E42, E44, E47, E53, E55, E57, E99, C1, C3, C5, W1, W3, W5

Add highlights and snow with a white gel pen. Stamp the sentiments from This is Us Frames and Better Together stamp sets using Obsidian Pigment Ink from Altenew. Adhere panel to an A2 card base cut from Neenah 110lb Classic Crest cardstock.

I love how this card turned out. There are coordinating dies for most of the stamps and they are also introducing their first enamel pin, shown above. Isn’t it so sweet?!

Giveaway Time!

Colorado Craft Company is generously giving one of my readers a $35 gift coupon to their shop. Leave me a comment below telling me what stamps you’d like to see me use from this release or techniques you want me to try with these stamps. Or you can just add any comment you wish. I’ll pick a random winner on October 8. (Edited because I had date wrong!)

The bunny seen in this and other photos was hand knit by me using the Sophie pattern by Ysolda.

I am pretty sure it will sell out in a flash. I looked at the Frames set & really didn’t appreciate it until I see what you’ve done with it. F a b u l o u s !! I think it was brilliant to use a bit of each stamp set & to make it look like a gallery of pictures on a wall! I’m wondering if you’d consider Kittens & Mittens perhaps done with watercolours? Thanks for a chance to win. I’ll definitely be back to your site to peruse when I have more time.

To answer your question, would love to see you use the ice cream day ? 🙂 thank you for sharing your talents and gifts with us 🙂
