Hello! April kicks off “birthday season” in our family. Between April 13 and May 31, we have ten birthdays! When my mother-in-law asked for a bicycle themed card for my daughter turning 15, I got right to work!

1. Die cut the pieces from the 3D Fun Time Cruiser die set. I used the following cardstock colors all from Hero Arts:

I also used Black Prince Glitter cardstock and a mirror cardstock.

2. Glimmer hot foil the Essential Duo Lines Glimmer Rectangle and sentiment from Your Sentiments Shine Brighter onto a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Hero Hues Pebble cardstock. I used Aura foil. Use the bike die cuts to place sentiment.

3. Assemble and adhere bike parts then flowers. I use Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

4. Adhere panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.

5. Add Nuvo drops in Mustard (discontinued), Bohemian Teal and Woodland Green.

My favorite part is the flowers spilling everywhere. I chose a bright bike color so it wouldn’t fade into the background among all the colorful flowers. I also like that the bike and flowers are trimmed flush with the card not the panel.

I loved being able to use mirror cardstock for the chrome parts and my daughter loves glitter so I added a subtle amount to the tire and handlebar. She is, after all, the one who stole my glitter!
