Hello! The new Sweet Cardlets II collection is absolutely beautiful. I love the little glimmer plate critters and it’s wonderful that they include dies! I love how quickly a card using mostly Glimmer Hot Foil System comes together.

Deer Friend

  1. Hot foil the sentiments from Deer Friend and A Little Birdie Glimmer Hot Foil and Die set on a piece of Hero Hues Sand cardstock cut to 4” x 5 1/4” using Rose Gold Foil.
  2. Foil the deer and flowers from Deer Friend and cut out with coordinating dies.
  3. Color the images with Copic markers: YR0000, YR00, RV00, RV02, E50, E53, E55, G0000, G20
  4. Add deer to panel and flowers to deer with thin foam squares
  5. Add panel to white A2 card base with foam tape.
  6. Place small pink heart droplet under sentiment with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

A Little Birdie Told Me

  1. Die cut a piece of Hero Hues Sand cardstock it’s largest slimline die and hemstitch die from Hemstitch Slimline Die set.
  2. Hot foil the bird and wreath from A Little Birdie Glimmer Hot Foil and Die set with Rose Gold Foil. Die cut bird and fussy cut wreath.
  3. Hot foil the sentiments using Rose Gold Foil.
  4. Copic color the bird and wreath using: E50, E53, RV00, RV02, YR0000, YR00, G0000, G20, BG10, BG11, Y0000
  5. Adhere panel to Hero Hues Peony cardstock and trim.
  6. Add wreath to panel with one layer of thin foam squares. Add bird with a double layer of thin foam squares.
  7. Place panel on a slimline card base using adhesive tape.
  8. Adhere flat back pearls to flower centers using Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

Envelope

  1. Hot foil wreath from A Little Birdie Glimmer Hot Foil and Die set to slimline envelope using Rose Gold Foil.
  2. Hot foil bird from A Little Birdie Glimmer Hot Foil and Die set to envelope inside wreath.
  3. There was some over foiling that did not come off as easily but it’s an envelope that is more likely to get thrown out so it’s still usable.

I love the soft colors with these darling images. The Sand cardstock works wonderfully with the soft colors as well as the rose gold foil. The envelope is very simple but the scale of the images works well on a slimline envelope. I think I’ll do this more in the future! Have you used hot foiling on an envelope?

Thanks for visiting!
