Hello! I’m so excited to be a part of the Spellbinders’ July Clubs Blog Hop! You’ve probably arrived here from the talented Sandhya Iyer! I’m sharing a card using the July Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Kit. I wanted to use the glimmer plate as more of a design feature than a frame. Be sure to read all the way to the end for giveaway information!

1. Cover a piece of printer paper larger than 2” x 4” with double sided adhesive tape.

2. Cut colored cardstock into strips and place up against each other on the printer paper diagonally.

3. Hot foil the third smallest plate from the July Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month Kit on the striped panel with Silver Hot Foil Roll.

4. Cut down the panel leaving a small border.

5. Hot foil the sentiment from Slimline Confetti Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate with Mini Rainbow Stripe Hot Foil on a piece of white cardstock measuring 4” x 5 1/4”. If I had planned ahead better, I would have used Polished Brass Hot Foil Roll for the striped panel to better coordinate with the sentiment.

6. Adhere the striped panel with foam tape.

7. Add panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.

8. Adhere a red heart below sentiment with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

  4. Love all the colors and I agree about using gold to match your sentiment…I just got some of the rainbow foil and am anxious to give it a try. New to foiling and am having such fun with it. Lovely card and TFS

  6. To me rainbows represent a happy ending to a storm and although the rainbow foil is amazing, I agree about the gold foil. I am addicted to foiling now and it adds so much to a card. Love the rainbow effect you achieved.

  8. Happy card! Although the rainbow foil is amazing, I agree about the gold foil. I am addicted to foiling now and it adds so much to a card. Love the rainbow effect you achieved.

  9. That’s an idea! I would have never considered using what appears to be a frame as the focal piece itself. Very clever!

  11. I love this idea of using the striped panel you created and only putting it on a portion of the card. Very pretty design. Thanks!

  12. Beautiful layering, the silver looks nice too with the rainbow foiled sentiment. Very cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

  13. I love the stripes (not a rainbow gal and those added colors are refreshing) love the silver touches, and that little heart… I got some from Pear blossom press and love them.
