Hello! It’s October 1 and that means it’s time for a new A Blog Named Hero Challenge. This month we are adding texture to our projects. There’s an Instagram Hop happening today to kick off the challenge. Head over there to see what everyone has created and then enter your own project.

1. On a piece of Arctic Cardstock cut to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”, blend on Soft Pool Ink from the edges leaving the center untouched. Add Pool Ink to just the edges. Set aside to dry.

2. Stamp and color the images from the Christmas Robins stamp set and die cut with coordinating dies. I used the following Copic Markers: W1, W3, R35, R37, R39, B93, B95, YR23, YR24, YR27, YG63, YG67.

3. Add Clear Lacquer Pen to the roof and base of the birdhouse. Sprinkle with Icicle Pure White Glitter. Add lacquer pen to berries. Set aside to dry.

4. Once the Arctic Panel is dry, stamp the sentiment with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

5. Stamp the images from the Color Layering Snowflake stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle with Sparkle Embossing Powder and heat set.

6. Adhere the panel to an A2 card base with Clear Adhesive Tape.

7. Add birdhouse and bird with thin foam squares. Add greenery and bells with liquid glue.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful. If you haven’t already, head over to Instagram for the blog hop. Enter your own project on Instagram using the hashtag #abnhoctoberchallenge. I can’t wait to see what you create!

Thanks for visiting!
