Hello! It’s time for Hero Arts January 2022 My Monthly Hero release and it is beautiful. There are coordinating dies for the layering tree stamp included plus a fun key die and a gorgeous cover plate die. Today, I’m sharing four ways to use the cover plate and keyhole dies.

Read to the end for giveaway information.

Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, Janary 14th and continue throughout the following week.

Kit Contents:

  • 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
  • 3 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • 4.25″ x 5.5″ Fancy Cover Plate Die
  • 1 Key Fancy Die
  • 4 Ink Cubes (Key Lime Fizz, Taffy, Green Apple, Cup O’ Joe)
  • Red Iridescent Gems

Kit Value: $80 Kit Cost: $34.99

The tree was stamped with Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, Cup o’ Joe and Soft Brown inks. The stones were stamped with Cup o’ Joe, the grass stamped with Green Apple Reactive Ink. I added Key Lime Fizz Reactive Ink to the bottom of the panel and Splash Reactive Ink to the top part.

Before assembly, the sentiment was stamped with Intens-ified Black Ink. Both the tree and cover plate die cut were added with foam tape. The heart droplets were adhered last with Precision Glue XL.

I again cut the cover plate and keyhole dies from Neenah Solar White cardstock. The trees were stamped with Soft Vanilla, Soft Cantaloupe, Green Hills, Forever Green, Cup o’ Joe and Soft Brown inks. I added Splash Reactive Ink to the front of the card base.

The green branch was adhered to the card base with liquid glue. The cover plate die cut was adhered with foam tape and the branch was adhered over it with liquid glue. I stamped the sentiment on vellum with Embossing and Watermark Ink and White Detail Embossing Powder. The strip was tucked under part of the tree where the liquid glue was hidden. I added clear drops with more liquid glue.

The cover plate and keyhole for this card were cut from Pitch Black Cardstock. I used Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Key Lime Fizz, Splash and Thistle Reactive Inks to create the rainbow on Neenah Solar White cardstock.

The sentiment and butterflies were stamped with Intens-ified Black Ink before the die cut panel was attached with foam tape. I added a little red heart with liquid glue to make the sentiment appear more centered.

For the last card, I die cut the keyhole only from Neenah Solar White cardstock. I then used Thistle and Grape Slush Reactive Inks to the die cut panel, adding it heavier at the edges and lighter in the center. The tree and swing were stamped with the same Reactive Inks plus Cup o’ Joe and Soft Brown dye inks.

I added Purple Galaxy ink to the card base and splattered it with shimmer spray. Then stamped both the die cut panel and card with the Sun Ray Bold Print in Unicorn White Pigment Ink. The sentiment was stamped with Intens-ified Black Ink. The tree and cover plate die cut were adhered with foam tape while the swing was adhered flat with liquid glue. I also added a few purple jewels across the card.

  2. WOW!!! Even though the these were created using most of the same elements (or at least the one main focal element), they are each so different! I think the black one is my favorite, but I really like the purple as well.

  3. Wow! All 4 of these cards screamed look at me, so pretty the colors used all the details. Loved all of them

  4. I am in love with all of your cards. The key hole die is really awesome. I have to day, the purple card just took my breath. It felt like there was an angel on the other side that you might could see, if you peak through the key hole.
