Hello! Today I’m sharing a card using several add ons from the January Hero Arts release. This was inspired by the famous bridge in Paris. I’ll share a trick that was subtle but made my card less flat.
1. Die cut the Chain Linked fancy die from Matte Silver Cardstock.
2. Die cut the heart locks from the Locks Fancy Dies from Cranberry, Azalea and Peony Cardstocks. Add shading to the locks with Copic Markers.
3. Die cut the heart from the Hero Lifestyle Cherub die set from the same color cardstock.
4. Stamp the sentiments from the V-Day Mini Messages stamp set with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Add White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
5. Adhere the chain link die cut to a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4” x 5 1/4” with Precision Glue XL.
6. Cut the top of the locks and slip them behind the chain links, adhering in place with liquid glue.
7. Adhere the heart die cuts with liquid glue.
8. Stamp the heart from the Flower Girls stamp set five time with Intense Black Ink. Color with R35, R37 and R39 Copic Markers. Die cut with coordinating dies.
9. Stamp the sentiment from the Flower Girls stamp set with Charcoal ink and cut into a strip, cutting “happy” separately. Adhere to panel with foam tape.
10. Stamp “XOXO” with Cotton Candy ink on panel.
11. Add panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.
12. Use N0 to add a shadow to the left and bottom of chain link and hearts. Use N2 and N0 to add a shadow to the locks.
Adding the shadows with Copic Markers really completed the card for me. Before I did it, the card felt very flat and unfinished. It’s subtle, but what do you think?
