Hello! Today is the release day for the March 2022 Hero Arts My Monthly Hero kit and add ons. This month they’ve got more art inspired stamps, dies and stencils.

Take a trip to the art museum with the March My Monthly Hero release. The main kit features Abstract Expressionist art in the form of paint splatters. Stamp them with your favorite inks, or to mimic the bold look of acrylic paint, emboss them with the four vibrant embossing powders included in this kit. We’ve also included paper with the feel of canvas for creating your masterpieces, and the kit is rounded out with a fantastic cover plate die of the art museum patrons gazing at your work of art. Just imagine all the things you can frame with this die!

Kit Value: $70
Kit Cost: $34.99
  • 4″ x 6″ Clear Stamp Set
  • Fancy Window Die
  • 4 Embossing Powders in Goldenrod, Orange, Blue, Purple (1/4 oz. each)
  • Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink Cube
  • 2 Sheets Extra Thick Canvas Paper (4.25″ x 5.5″)
  • 1 Sheet Canvas-textured Paper (5.5″ x 8.5″)

1. Cut two side fold A2 card bases. One should have the fold on the left and the other on the right.

2. Die cut the inner piece of the fancy window die from the March kit in the front of the card base with the fold on the left.

3. Stamp the larger paint splatter on the card with the fold on the right using the Reactive Ink Mini Cubes in Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Blue Hawaii and Thistle. Use the other card for placement.

4. Stamp the sentiment with Intensified Black Ink on the card in step three. Make sure it is low enough that it will be hidden when the card is assembled.

5. Die cut the window fancy die twice more, adding one panel to the front of the card and the other to the back. I did this to make the front of the card more stable.

6. Before assembling the card, cut about 1/16” off the back of the die cut card and the front of the stamped card.

7. Adhere the back of the die cut card on top of the back of the stamped card.

8. Adhere a heart droplet on the front of the card.

1. On a piece of 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” Neenah Solar White cardstock, stamp about half the panel with both splatter stamps from the March kit using Lemon Drop Reactive Ink.

2. Reposition the stamps and stamp the other half of the panel with Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink using both splatter stamps.

3. Use a blending brush to add same ink over each section.

4. Stamp the sentiment on a 1” strip of Neenah Solar White cardstock using Intensified Black Ink.

5. Adhere sentiment strip to panel with foam tape at an angle.

6. Stamp the sunflower from the Creative Quotes stamp set using Lemon Drop Reactive Ink for the flower and Key Lime Fizz and Green Apple for the stem. I colored flower center with Copic markers.

7. Fussy cut the sunflower and adhere next to sentiment with foam tape.

8. Adhere card panel to an A2 card base and add tiny blue and yellow heart confetti across the card.

  4. Great inspiration Jennifer. I really like your bifold card idea and the tone on tone splatters are wonderful too.

  5. Love your cards. Love the splatter blended subtly in the background of the second card. Can’t wait for the kit. Thanks for sharing.

Adore the way you used a trifold card on this with the hidden sentiment. Really brings the recipient into the art. TFS!
