Hello! Welcome to day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Hello Gorgeous Release blog hop! Today, I’m sharing a rainbow stained glass sun Mother’s Day card. Read to the end for information on a giveaway and the list of designers in the hop.

1. Die cut the Stained Glass Sun die from Hero Hues Pitch Black cardstock twice. One needs to be centered towards the top of the cardstock measuring 4” x 5 1/4”. The other can be smaller and needs to be backed with strong adhesive tape to inlay the rainbow of cardstock.

2. Die cut the Stained Glass Sun die again from a rainbow of cardstock colors. I used scraps of Hero Hues Premium Cardstock. I placed the scrap only under the section I needed. The piece was then inlaid into the black cardstock that is backed with strong adhesive tape. the individual colors are listed and linked below.

3. Cut the sun piece from white glitter cardstock and inlay.

4. Before adhering the top layer, stamp the sentiment from All About Mom with Embossing and Watermark Ink. Sprinkle with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

5. Adhere the top piece with Bearly Arts Precision Glue over the inlaid piece.

6. Add the panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.

7. Stamp the small sentiment (stamp set discontinued) with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink on white cardstock. Cut it out with the smallest Sentiment Labels Dies and adhere with thin foam squares.

8. Add black pearls with liquid glue.

  7. Hi, Jennifer –
WOO HOO!! I was hoping that someone would really make this look like a stained glass sun. Bibi made the bird die look like stained glass but that wasn’t the sun. YOU DID IT!! It’s so cool and so modern! Love it!! This release is great and I appreciate each artist’s take on the goods. Your take on this die is superb!
