Spellbinders May Clubs Blog Hop

Welcome to the Spellbinders May Clubs Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the amazing Kelly Taylor’s blog. I’ve got a glittery card for you today using three kits. Be sure to read to the end for giveaway information and links to the other designers participating in the hop.

1. Emboss a piece of 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” Neenah Solar White cardstock with the May Embossing Folder of the Month.

2. Die cut the letters from the May Small Die of the Month out of Paradise cardstock and Glitter Teal Foam Sheet. Adhere together for stability with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.

3. Hot foil the sentiment from the May Hot Foil Kit of the Month with Aura Hot Foil Roll and cut into a strip.

4. Cut the embossed panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”. Try to even things out so there won’t be any starburst centers hanging off the edge.

5. Adhere the letters to the panel with liquid glue. I thought it was fun to misalign them.

6. Add sentiment overlapping letters with foam tape under the areas that don’t overlap.

7. Place panel on an A2 card base cut from Paradise cardstock and adhere Aquamarine jewels with liquid glue to the centers of the starbursts.

  4. You knocked it out of the park w/the Small Die & Embossing Folder of the month, used on yr lovely Hello card.
Simple, pretty and love the concept.
    Thank you ~

  5. Great idea w/the Hello card. The way you used the new die and embossing folder, great paper crafting.
    Thank you ~

  6. I love semi-fast cards that pack a punch! I will definitely be trying something similar, great job!

I love the dimension in the letters and your color choices! I am looking forward to receiving my own kits and being creative. Thanks for your lovely ideas!

  8. I love seeing it without the stitching, as my vision will prevent me from doing that, so thanks so much for showing me an alternate way to use my new die! ❤️

  9. Love your Hello glitter card. Not sure how you did the letters. You first wrapped the foam tape around the letters, then you make strips of glitter foam paper and wrap it around the letters. Is that right? Thanks. Charlene

Hi! Thank you! Spellbinders has new glitter foam sheets. Its Craft foam with glitter on it. It’s great but a little floppy so I die cut cardstock to adhere behind the foam sheets. I hope that makes sense!

  10. I love this embossing folder! It really steps up any CAS card! the teal letters are such a fun way to add sparkle!

  11. Love the colors you used. I can’t wait to try to do something similar when my kit arrives.

  12. I really like the sparkle and the glimmer together! I am going to have to look at getting the glitter foam.
