Giveaway:

For today’s hop, Waffle Flower is giving away $25 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners.

You can leave a comment on this blog and the others along the hop by 11:59pm EST on Thursday June 9, 2022 for your chances to win. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the posts in this blog hop and will be announced on the Waffle Flower Blog on June 10, 2022.

You can find the Tropical card kit at Waffle Flower Crafts. Read on to see how I used the items in the kit.

1. Die cut a piece of Enchanted Half and Half Lines paper included in the Tropical card kit from largest Nesting Circle Die. Add Lucky Pawsitively Saturated Ink around edge. Die cut the same die from the adhesive sheet in the Tropical card kit and add to the back of the circle.

2. Die cut the largest Nesting Circle Die from an A2 card base, letting the die hang above the fold slightly. Cut a small section off the bottom back so the card stands up better.

3. Stamp the Tropical Sentiment from the Tropical card kit on the 4.25” Circle Shaker Cover included in the Tropical card kit with Black StazOn Ink.

4. Begin peeling just the edge of the adhesive from the striped circle and add the 4.25” Circle Shaker Cover. Leave a small section unsealed and add the confetti pieces from the Tropical card kit. Finish sealing the shaker.

5. Remove the adhesive backer completely and add to the circle card base. You’ll probably want to add a bit more adhesive on the edges.

6. Die cut the largest two circles together from the gold glitter cardstock included in the Tropical card kit. Adhere to the shaker. I used liquid glue and laid a very heavy object on top.

7. Die cut the pieces for the bird and flowers included in the Tropical card kit from cardstock in kit. I added a small amount of Rose Pawsitively Saturated Ink before assembling the bird with liquid glue.

8. Attach bird, flowers, leaves and branch to shaker with liquid glue. Place a heavy object on them until glue is mostly dry.

9. Add white Clean and Clear Enamel Dots from the Tropical card kit to center of flowers and a clear one to the birds eye.

1. Die cut the Orange Enchanted Half and Half Lines paper from the Tropical card kit out of a 3” Nesting Circle Die. Die cut the same die from the adhesive sheet in the Tropical card kit and add to the back of the circle.

2. Begin peeling just the edge of the adhesive from the striped circle and add the 3” Circle Shaker Cover in the Tropical card kit. Leave a small section unsealed and add the confetti pieces from the Tropical card kit. Finish sealing the shaker.

3. Die cut the 3” circle and next smaller one together from the gold glitter cardstock included in the Tropical card kit. Adhere to the shaker. I used liquid glue and laid a very heavy object on top.

4. Add the shaker to a piece of Red Enchanted Half and Half Lines paper from the Tropical card kit cut to 4” x 5 1/4” with the A2 Layers Dies. I did my best to line up the stripes.

5. Die cut the flowers from the different solid colors of paper in the Tropical card kit. Arrange and adhere to card on and below shaker.

6. Cut sentiment from Tropical card kit and adhere with foam strips.

7. Add white Clean and Clear Enamel Dots from Tropical card kit to flower centers and throughout the card.

8. Add panel to an A2 card base with foam tape.

1. Place flower stencil from the Orchid Duo Stencil over larger than needed piece of white cardstock on the Waffle Flower Stencil Mat.

2. Blend on Rose Pawsitively Saturated Ink, darker at the center.

3. Switch to the leaf stencil from the Orchid Duo Stencil. Add Lucky Pawsitively Saturated Ink for the leaves and Citrine Pawsitively Saturated Ink for the flower centers.

If you only have large blending brushes, you might want to mask off the flower centers while inking the leaves. This is the perfect place to use the new Waffle Flower Shader Brushes.

4. Die cut leaves from the Tropical card kit out of white cardstock and add Lucky Pawsitively Saturated Ink.

5. Die cut the part of the stenciled panel you wish to use with the A2 Layers Dies and add to an A2 card base with foam tape.

6. Add Rose Pawsitively Saturated Ink to the Essential Sentiment Silver Foil Die Cut and place on card with foam strips.

7. Adhere leaves above sentiment with liquid glue.

8. Place clear Clean and Clear Enamel Dots from the Tropical card kit in center of flowers.

From now till Tuesday, June 7, 2022, all orders placed at waffleflower.com will receive a mysterious gift (No code required!).
