Hello! Welcome to the June Hero Arts My Monthly Hero blog hop and giveaway! I am absolutely in love with the kit and add ons this month! I’m sharing two cards today that mainly feature the kit but that Antique Hero Map Bold Print is phenomenal so I had to use it. I’ll be sharing more cards in the next few weeks.

Pre-order your kit today – we estimate kit shipping will begin Friday, June 10th and continue throughout the following week.

Head under the sea with our June My Monthly Hero release. A beautiful mermaid greets you, with hair flowing and tail shimmering. She’s accompanied by a colorful fish and jelly, with seagrass and coral surrounding her. Pearls are an accent to this kit, with an image, messages, and embellishments uniting the theme. The kit is rounded out with a Reactive Ink palette and brush, perfect for watercoloring the images or creating gorgeous underwater backgrounds.

Kit Contents:

  • 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
  • 8 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • Mermaid Reactive Palette Ink Pad
  • Self-adhesive Pearl Gems
  • Water Flow Brush

1. Blend Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive ink on 2/3 of a piece of white cardstock. Add Root Beer Reactive Ink to the bottom 1/3, blending slightly into the other colors. Splatter with water and let dry.

2. Stamp the images from the June My Monthly Hero Kit with Intense Black Ink. Color with Copic markers listed at the end of this post and cut out with coordinating dies.

3. Once the panel is dry, Stamp the sentiment in Blue Raspberry Reactive Ink. Cut panel down to 4” x 5 1/4” and place on and A2 card base with foam tape.

4. Adhere the mermaid with foam tape and the coral and starfish with Precision Glue XL.

5. Add white gel pen highlights to images.

6. Adhere Aquamarine jewels with liquid glue.

1. Blend on Splash Reactive Ink on a piece of white cardstock, starting in the center and fading to white at the edges.

2. Ink up the Antique Hero Map Bold Print with Splash Reactive Ink only where it will hit the center of the cardstock. Use a blending brush to soften the edges. Stamp and repeat until desired affect is achieved.

3. Stamp images from the June My Monthly Hero Kit with Intense Black Ink. Color with Copic markers listed below and cut out with coordinating dies.

4. Stamp sentiment with Intense Black Ink and bubbles with Splash Reactive Ink. Cut panel down to 4” x 5 1/4”. Adhere to an A2 card base with foam tape.

5. Adhere fish, shell and seaweed with foam tape and oyster with Precision Glue XL.

6. Add Clear Drops over stamped bubbles and over pearl with liquid glue. Add highlights with a white gel pen.
